Come stroll wide expanses of coastal greenery, enjoy a picnic and play on the Chiba side of Tokyo Bay. From the grassy fields or the promenade walkways, you can gaze out over the Tokyo Bay, and on a clear day see Mt. Fuji in the distance, or Tokyo Skytree towering over the skyscrapers to the northwest. This is a prime spot for picnicking, but many also bring meat, veggies, and snacks for barbecues as well. (Barbecues are only allowed in limited areas of the park, every weekend, and during the "Golden Week" holiday in May and the summer vacation season in Japan.) While you can bring your own equipment, there are also barbecue sets for rent, so all you need to bring is food.
