Come take a stroll through Naritasan Park, behind the famous Shinshouji Temple, and you'll find a museum dedicated to Japan's culture of calligraphy. Surrounded by seasonal beauty and nestled in the back of the park, this museum showcases calligraphy pieces both new and old, and the gift shop has everything you need to try it out for yourself at home. The 2nd floor is reserved for special exhibitions, and there is often art other than calligraphy on display here, attracting all kinds of art enthusiasts. The area around the museum is worth a look also, as you'll see many monuments with their own calligraphy, and many lovely Japanese garden pieces.
