Nakadai Seisakusho manufactures mikoshi (portable shrines used in traditional festivals) from start-to-finish, the only company of its kind around Tokyo. This family-owned business has been making mikoshi here in the Gyotoku District of Chiba’s Ichikawa City for over 150 years. The Gyotoku Mikoshi Museum, the first mikoshi museum in the world, is located next to the Nakadai Seisakusho workshop.
