Myohosho-ji Temple

This remotely located temple in the hills of southern Chiba is said to have about 20,000 individual hydrangeas plants. For anyone who is a fan of this early-summer flower, Myhosho-ji is a worthwhile pilgrimage to make.

(From JR Awa-Amatsu Station: Take the Nitto bus (Kamogawa Community Bus Seicho route) to the "Seichoji" stop, and it's an additional 1-hour walk from there. From Kazusa-Nakano Station on the Isumi Railway or Kominato Railway: Take the Kominato Bus to the “Awamata” stop, and it's an additional 2-hour walk from there.
By car: About 1-hour from the Kisarazu-Higashi Interchange on the Ken-0 Expressway.)
