This temple is known for an over 700-year-old wisteria tree that blooms brilliant purple flowers that hang down from wooden supports. In addition to its stunning floral display, the twisted exposed roots have also earned this tree the nickname "Garyuu," as it's said that its form has come to resemble a sleeping dragon.
