Enpuku-ji Temple, also known as Iinuma Kannon, has a history that dates back to 728, and is part of the Bando Kannon Pilgrimage. Iinuma Kannon's inclusion in the 1,300 km long pilgrimage route was key in the development of Choshi as an influential temple town.
