Boso-no-Mura brings together all elements of Japan's rural past. Jump back to the Boso area's past with workshops for farming, craft, and cooking teach you how people lived, and learn through exhibits showing the history of merchant, warrior, and farm culture. The expertly recreated buildings and landscapes makes it truly feel like you're back in time. Nearby is a vast collection of ancient "Kofun" mound-style tombs: The "Ryuukakuji Kofun-gun". These are preserved as special ruins of Japanese history, and this open-air exhibit here Boso no Mura is referred to as the "Fudoki no Oka".
